Why is dairy bad to consume during menopause?

This is a super important topic ladies and it’s close to my heart. First of all, the added hormones. Cows as well as chickens are given hormones to help them grow. It’s not until you actually go off of the dairy that you realize that “hey! I can actually breathe really clear!” and then say if you go back on the dairy, you notice the big mucus buildup. So I know this because this happened to me and I really could see the difference. Inflammation means your cells will take longer to recover in your body. So when the dairy contributes to inflammation, your recovery time is slower.

Third, increased risk of cancer. Increased cancer risk is another top reason to avoid dairy. Dairy has been linked to breast and other cancers, especially those considered hormonal like prostate cancer.

Fourth, onset of heart disease. An 8 ounce glass of milk contains about 150 calories and 8 grams of fat, five of which are saturated, plus 24 milligrams of cholesterol. Saturated fat is known to raise LDL or the bad cholesterol in your body, which increases the risk of heart disease and stroke, according to the American Heart Association.

It’s really difficult because milk has long been considered a healthy staple in our diet. It’s rich in bone strengthening, calcium, energy building protein, a slew of other nutrients that boost our overall health. However, researchers are learning more and more about the not so beneficial effects of commercially produced milk and the effects they have on the body and particularly are hormones.

So I really hope this information is helpful and you reconsider your consumption of milk and dairy. I for instance have completely eliminated this from my diet and noticed a huge difference and.
